Coverage Issues -- White
House Commission on CAM Policy 2001
The years 1996-2001 witnessed
a great increase in the number and types of insurance, managed care and
hospital products involving CAM. On request of the White House Commission, and with
urging from the then medical director of the Commission, Joe Kaczmarczyk, DO,
MPH, I participated in a Commission panel on coverage issues for which I
prepared this extensive document. Included is 21 pages of analysis and
recommendations followed by 20 pages of charts on coverage models, experience
and perceptions of value from The Integrator and other sources. 41 pages, 529
