This monthly report includes 35 short segments, with links, on
developments in integrative medicine in hospitals, academic health centers and health systems from mid-November through December 9, 2012. This month's reports includes some from the non-health system community of integrative practices to provide more balance on the range of developments associated with integrative medicine. Included are centers in New Jersey, Connecticut, North Carolina, California, Texas, Colorado and much more.
- The CBS Philadelphia affiliate interviewed Myra Brind Center for Integrative Medicine physician and researcher Andy Newburg, MD for a feature on the value of a week-long spa treatment.
- Duke Integrative Medicine announced a conference on therapeutic yoga for seniors.
- Connecticut's New Milford Hospital hosted a public talk on integrative medicine moderated by the hospital’s integrative medicine coordinator Susan Twombly.
- MED Illinois Reports prominently featured Melinda Ring, MD from the Northwestern Integrative Medicine in a piece entitled Integrative medicine: combining the best of both worlds.
- Also from Myrna Brind Center, director Daniel Monti, MD was featured in this piece on how meditation and art therapy can "change your brain and lower anxiety."

Integrative medicine in community settings

- Dr. Oz invited Atlanta Center for Holistic and Integrative Medicine founder Tasbeen Bhatia, MD onto the show to talk about immune system remedies.

The multi-location Rothfeld Center for Integrative medicine participated in a special Group-on deal.
- The Advanced Back and Neck Care Center in Connecticut announced the addition of two new doctors, Amy Cannatta, DC and Olympia Dreszer, ND, LAc.
- A major new development in Chattanooga will include the Center for Integrative Medicine as part of a 20,000 square foot medical facility.
- Southwest Integrative Medicine pumped its seasonal flu therapies.
- Isaac Eliaz, MD, LAc of the Amitabha Medical Clinic and Health Center in Santa Rosa has posted his 145 slide presentation on Principles of Integrative Oncology for public consumption.
